Dublin-based artist living and working from his studio in Lucan. Artist Adrian draws on all aspects of life, whether it’s inspiration from their immediate environs or events unfolding way beyond the studio walls. Striving for a varied style and diverse subjects because this is ultimately what fascinates him along with the many facets of life past and present.

Artist Adrian considers himself lucky to have been born in Ireland and even luckier to have been raised in the mythical midlands at a time when fun meant climbing trees and building forts and we had total freedom to roam. It is these fond memories along with his strong connection with nature which have influenced his works. Furthermore, he has a fascination with history and Ireland has an array of colourful legends and mighty mythology that rivals anything from anywhere else in the world and growing up Artist Adrian always enjoyed old stories as they fuelled his insatiable appetite for adventure. Growing up in rural Ireland nature was his playground, the next adventure was only limited by imagination and all the old stories simply made him appreciate his surroundings even more. He firmly believes it is these events and stories that have shaped our towns, villages, songs and poems and ultimately our culture, and it is his ambition to capture these in his artwork which is the primary job of an artist. Although the wonders of the past provide an almost bottomless well of inspiration Artist Adrian still take the time to draw and paint using contemporary themes because they are both more often than not intrinsically linked.
